Chapter 47-Lola of Geotraveler Media

Truly hope you enjoy and are inspired by this week’s episode with Lola.

In this chapter, Lola tells us how spending time in various cultures and studying their nuances has helped her to create her own personal and family “superculture.” She shares with us how being an open minded traveler led her to try online dating in 2006, and what made her fall in love with her then long distance boyfriend. Lola gives global traveling women who are looking for a romantic partnership her best piece of advice. She talks about how we can create excellence outside of the rooms we’re supposed to be in, but believes it’s important to gain access to those closed doors since others are still creating our narratives and putting us in boxes. Lola says that asking herself and others “why not,” is the reason her life has unfolded the way it has. And she speaks to travel not being our passion, but the thing that helps to bring our passion alive.

Here’s a proverb and a quote that came to Lola during our conversation:

The sky is big enough for all birds to fly without touching each other.

Yoruba Proverb

Be the woman who fixes another woman’s crown, without telling the world that it was crooked.
